So we need to understand how to install laminate flooring and what are the installation procedures of laminate flooring? If you can’t do it by yourself you must looking for professional Laminate Flooring Installation Service in Allen.

Installation Process of Laminate Flooring

Step: 1

Clean the ground. The ground needs to be cleaned. You can use a mop to clean it, or use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the dust. After the ground has been cleaned and leveled, a layer of moisture-proof mat must be laid first. This layer must be at least 20-30 cm with a gap of about 1-3 inches from the wall. Now you can install the laminated wood floor of the selected color.

Step: 2

When installing laminate flooring, the front edge of the board faces the wall, and the pavement starts from the left corner to the right. Make sure to leave a gap of about 10mm between the laminate floor and the wall. In order to prevent the laminate flooring in the first row of laminate flooring from sliding, it must be fixed with spacers or wedges. The remaining boards in the first row are usually used at the beginning of the second row.

Step: 3

Insert the next board into the groove in the second row and place it horizontally. The next board is installed on the laminate floor at a certain angle, and the longer side of the laminate floor must be combined with the upper row of boards as closely as possible.

Step: 4

At this time, it is best to stand on the already laid laminate floor, use two hands to slightly lift up a row of boards just laid (may also lift the same row of boards), and push the laminate floor tight. As long as there is no obvious gap, the previously laid laminate flooring has been installed, and the installation can be continued according to the original plan. If the gap is obvious, then you must increase the effort to repeat the above work, or check the previously installed laminate flooring. This technique can be applied to the entire subsequent installation process.

Step: 5

The installation procedure for the last piece of laminate flooring in each row is as follows: Turn the board over so that the notches of the two boards face the notches, and leave a distance of 10 cm between the board and the wall. Install it according to the length of the board. This board needs the assistance of a tensioner while installing.

Step: 6

Also ensure that the gap between the door and the ground is at least 10 mm. If the laminate flooring cannot be installed at a normal angle, you need to assemble two laminate flooring together and place them flat before installing. If the wall is uneven, it must be adjusted accordingly. At the end, the laminate floor should be cut according to the contour of the wall. Use the remaining original length of the laminate floor and pencil to measure the length of the wall. Put a suitable length of laminate floor into the slot and tighten it with a tensioner.

Step: 7

Remove all spacers. Install the skirting board, remember not to install too tightly between the skirting board and the laminate floor. Leave a gap in front of the pipe, cover it with some decorative objects, or seal it with elastic glue. In some places where there is no suitable board to install, the gap on the side must be sealed with glue.
